Terms of Service

The agreement between you and StarlightATL governing our services, your responsibilities, and how we work together.

Effective January 1, 2025

1Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using StarlightATL's website, client portal, mobile application, or any services we provide, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our services.

2Services We Provide

StarlightATL provides luxury lighting installation (including starlight and stretch ceilings with fiber optic & LED integration), smart home automation, low-voltage wiring, structured cabling, network infrastructure, audio/video systems, and security camera installation for residential and commercial properties in the Metro Atlanta area.

Service descriptions, pricing, and availability are subject to change. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service at our discretion.

3Quotes, Pricing & Payment

Quotes are estimates based on the information available at the time of assessment. Final pricing may vary based on actual site conditions, material availability, and scope adjustments. Unless otherwise noted, all quotes are valid for 30 days.

Payment terms — including deposit requirements, milestone payments, and final balances — will be outlined in your individual project proposal. We accept payment via credit card, ACH transfer, cash, or check. A 3% processing fee applies to credit card payments.

4Project Scope & Changes

The scope of work for each project is detailed in a written proposal that must be accepted before work begins. Any changes to the agreed scope ("change orders") must be documented and approved in writing by both parties.

Change orders may result in additional charges and timeline adjustments. We will communicate any impact to cost or schedule before proceeding with changes.

5Client Responsibilities

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your project requirements and site conditions
  • Ensure safe, clear access to all work areas during scheduled installation dates
  • Obtain any necessary permits, HOA approvals, or building permissions as required
  • Make payments according to the agreed schedule in your proposal
  • Communicate any concerns or issues promptly during the project
  • Safeguard login credentials for the StarlightATL client portal and app

6Warranties

StarlightATL provides a 1-year labor warranty on all installations, covering defects in workmanship. Equipment and material warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and vary by product — we will provide documentation for all manufacturer warranties applicable to your project.

Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, unauthorized modifications, power surges, water damage, acts of nature, or normal wear and tear.

7Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Georgia law, StarlightATL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or any equipment we install. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

8Intellectual Property

All custom designs, lighting plans, system schematics, documentation, and project files created by StarlightATL remain our intellectual property unless explicitly transferred in writing. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share our proprietary designs without prior written consent.

Photos and videos of completed installations may be used by StarlightATL for marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing before project completion.

9Cancellation & Refunds

Project cancellations must be submitted in writing (email or through the client portal). Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or work has commenced.

For partially completed projects, you will be invoiced for materials already purchased and labor performed up to the cancellation date. Any remaining credit will be refunded within 30 business days.

10Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

We encourage resolving any concerns directly — most issues can be addressed through a simple conversation. If a formal resolution is needed, any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, held in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

11Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the client portal. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
